Responsibilities
- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products.
- Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders.
- From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart.
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity.
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves.
- Check off merchandise as received and correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet.
- Aid in pulling parts during busy times.
- Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment.
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
- Understand map locations and sort by alpha or numeric.
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.
- Have attention to detail and great communication skills.
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance.
- May be subject to environmental conditions.
- Protect and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
