Warehouse Associate -Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

  • Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products.
  • Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders.
  • From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart.
  • Stock items appropriately by location and quantity.
  • Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves.
  • Check off merchandise as received and correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet.
  • Aid in pulling parts during busy times.
  • Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders.
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment.
  • Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
  • Understand map locations and sort by alpha or numeric.
  • Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
  • Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have attention to detail and great communication skills.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance.
  • May be subject to environmental conditions.
  • Protect and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
