Warehouse Associate / Back-up Driver

Responsibilities
- Deliver Goods: Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers as per assigned routes and schedules.
- Load and Unload: Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.
- Route Management: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel and time.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and professionally during deliveries.
- Documentation: Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures, completing delivery logs, and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle checks, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
- Problem Resolution: Handle delivery challenges, such as incorrect addresses or customer concerns, and report unresolved issues to management.
- Support Warehouse Operations: Assist with basic warehouse tasks when not on delivery routes, such as organizing inventory or preparing orders.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack and prepare outing shipments specific to each customer order- ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Shipping Coordination: Process shipping labels, documents while prepping products in staging areas for transportation or pickups.
- Incoming Goods Inspection: Check incoming goods for defects, damages, or discrepancies, and report issues to the supervisor or purchasing department.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory systems with received items and ensure proper labeling and storage in designated locations.
- Documentation: Complete receiving logs, file necessary paperwork, and maintain accurate records for inventory tracking.
- Equipment Use: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Coordination: Collaborate and assist with receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality control operations to ensure smooth workflow and accurate stock levels.
- Stock Organization: Organize and maintain the receiving area, ensuring it is clean and free from hazards.
- Returns: Process returned items or defective goods, coordinating with vendors or suppliers for replacements or credits.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using receiving software and systems.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software is a plus.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse or delivery environment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
