Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Tile Shop team members travel across the globe to explore the latest styles and innovations in materials such as porcelain, glass, ceramic, travertine, and other natural stones. This role is responsible for assembling customer orders, managing inventory, and maintaining warehouse organization.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to assemble orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete all inventory-related paperwork, including shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS documentation.
• Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times and participate in the cycle counting program.
• Label all orders and back stock clearly.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; ensure proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer after loading.
• Process incoming freight trucks in a timely manner.
• Operate equipment, including forklifts, to move inventory and inspect equipment to maintain good working order.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into the computer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
• Forklift certification or willingness to be certified.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Knowledge of proper safety measures.
• Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work Saturdays on a 5-day work week schedule.
