Warehouse Associate
About the role
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. This position also serves as a key resource for inventory accuracy initiatives, including cycle counting activities, inventory investigations, and assisting with the planning and execution of annual physical inventories.
Responsibilities
- Continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day.
- Lift trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Double check all loads for accuracy and ensure they are thoroughly secured for delivery.
- Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving.
- Pull orders for walk-in customers.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Aid in inventory control processes, including stock verification, adjustments, and location audits.
- Support and help coordinate the company's physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation of inventory variances.
- Maintain organized inventory locations and ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
- Utilize inventory management systems to record inventory movements and transactions.
- Partner with warehouse leadership to identify and resolve inventory issues and improve inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- Able to lift 50-100 lbs. throughout the day, some lifting over 100 lbs. may be required.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist through complete shift.
- Forklift experience desired.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers (verbal and written).
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
- Work Monday through Friday and opportunity for overtime during the busy season.
- Previous inventory control, cycle counting, or inventory management experience preferred.
- Experience assisting with physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ability to accurately analyze inventory discrepancies and perform basic inventory reporting.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School degree or GED.
