Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fulfills customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Utilizes the best package sizing to achieve cost-effective freight; ensures delivery as close to customer expectations as possible.
  • Receives incoming shipments, verifies contents against packing slips/invoices, and ensures proper storage.
  • Inspects products for damage or defects and reports any issues to the supervisor or follows proper procedures/protocol.
  • Packages parts for parcel shipments according to company specifications.
  • Unloads, folds, ties and palletizes rubber tracks utilizing a forklift.
  • Unloads and categorizes steel undercarriage parts into proper bins.
  • Unloads, ties, palletizes and tags items, ensures items are stored in their proper locations.
  • Aids in loading as necessary – pallet loading with fork lift, etc.
  • Affords assistance in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Safely and efficiently operates a forklift, pallet jack or other to move materials, load and unload trucks, and stack and store items in the warehouse.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the forklift is operated in a safe manner.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates effectively with supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Ensures the warehouse is organized and items are stored in designated locations.
  • Empties all trash, prepares for trash and recycling pick up on a weekly basis or as dictated.
  • Notifies the Manager if any issues or discrepancies arrive with the orders or as the defined process/protocol dictates.
  • Performs daily checks on equipment prior to operation.
  • Weighs and measures outgoing packages to determine shipping costs.
  • Builts pallets, crates, etc. specific to each order.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Basic knowledge of agricultural/construction equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of weighing and labeling equipment.
  • Basic computer experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and shipping software such as FedEx / UPS/Speedee/PaceJet/LISA.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma a plus.
  • Fork lift certification from a recognized training program.
