About the role

KBS seeks motivated and dynamic Warehouse Associates (Corrugated Recycler) to join our team in permanent, full-time positions. These roles are primarily responsible for meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations in the collection and removal of corrugated cardboard gondolas throughout all facilities.

Schedule

• Days and nights vary, including weekends
• Shifts Available: Sunday to Tuesday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Pay rate: $16.75 – $17.25

Responsibilities

Our Warehouse Associate (Corrugated Cardboard Recycler) performs the following tasks within designated work areas, as assigned at the start of each shift:

• Use a manual pallet jack to pick up full gondolas (large boxes/trash containers) and replace them with empty gondolas within assigned areas
• Transport and place full corrugated cardboard gondolas into the baler or compactor located in a designated area of the warehouse (training provided)
• Ensure areas around all gondolas are free of debris and trash
• Dust, mop, and sweep around trash container areas to keep traffic areas free of trash and debris
• Maintain traffic areas ("Green Mile walking areas") free of debris at all times to ensure safety for everyone
• Maintain and sort auger/baler/compactor areas to keep order
• Other cleaning tasks may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• Ability to use a manual pallet jack to lift and move gondolas weighing up to 75+ pounds
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach for objects both below waist level and above head height
• Able to constantly push and pull loaded manual pallet jacks with trash/cardboard
• Walk within and around the facility very frequently throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10–12 hours
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical safe handling sheets/documents (typically in English; may be in Spanish when required by state)
• Background check and drug test required

Skills

• KBS uses KBSPresence mobile time-tracking software to accurately record employee work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important job information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. Reimbursement for cell phone use is offered in accordance with applicable local law to support personal device use for work tasks.

Pay

• Progressive Pay is available in some locations (not offered everywhere)
• Employees receive a $0.50 increase after the first 90 days, and another $0.30 increase after completing 180 days
