Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Pull inventory for shipments
• Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
• Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Load finished product onto truck
• Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
• Counter sales to General Contractors
• Use technology to help manage the logistics process
• Other relative duties as assigned

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Pre-employment background check and drug test
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware (optional)
• Experience driving trucks for delivery (preferred)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
• Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Qualifications

• Physical demands consistent with a construction or installation environment
• Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds
• Work environment may involve travel to project sites and exposure to various environmental conditions
• May be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment
