About the role
The Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the physical and clerical aspects of inbound inventory at Kärcher North America. They ensure all materials are accurately accounted for, quality-checked, and prepared for delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
- Review and maintain vital transportation documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier paperwork.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in deliveries by coordinating with Quality, Inventory, and Transportation teams.
- Ensure freight moves smoothly from "dock to stock" with accurate labeling and placement.
- Use SAP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to validate shipment accuracy and track process efficiencies.
- Aid other warehouse areas and communicate with Team Leaders to keep operations running efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center (Receiving or Inventory Control experience is a plus).
- Basic computer proficiency (Google Workspace or handheld devices).
- Strong math skills (working with decimals and fractions).
- The ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Physical readiness to stand/walk regularly and lift up to 50 pounds.
