Warehouse and Store Service Driver, Saturdays Required

Responsibilities

Cultural and Ministerial

• Uphold and promote YUGM’s Christian beliefs, core values, policies, and procedures with integrity.
• Develop professional, caring, strengths-based relationships built on truth, respect, encouragement, and trust.
• Provide ministry and show kindness and grace to staff, volunteers, clients, donors, and the community.

• Engage in opportunities to pray for individuals, departments, strategic plans, and other YUGM needs.

Functional

• Instruct, train, and coach each person you work with.
• Communicate effectively with guests, donors, staff, and volunteers.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and with volunteers.
• Coordinate daily runs to service YUGM Thrift Stores, picking up items for Programs Distribution and Recycling.
• Load and unload gaylords, apple bins, rolling totes, boxes, and bags using an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, forklifts, and by hand.
• Drive YUGM cars, vans, pickup trucks, and box trucks as needed.
• Prepare trucks before runs and unload them after pickups.
• Lift, move, load, and unload items repeatedly throughout the workday.

Additional

• Attend YUGM trainings and meetings as requested or required to stay current on policy changes, procedures, and essential job information.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of YUGM’s mission and values.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current Washington State Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Fundamental computer and software skills for inputting job details, online research, and task guidelines.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions and changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliable, resourceful, and flexible.
• Ability to work alongside or supervise volunteers, programmers, and clients from diverse backgrounds, including those in addiction recovery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Personal and work ethic reflecting YUGM’s Core Values of Love, Professionalism, and Outcomes.

Working Conditions

• Primary duties involve distribution warehouses and driving.
• Moderate to noisy environment.
• Truck driving (non-CDL) and forklift operation as needed.
• Outdoor work in inclement weather and occasional irregular hours.

Physical Requirements

• Visual and auditory abilities to perform job tasks effectively.
• Clear and fluent communication in English.
• Capable of walking, climbing stairs, balancing, bending, reaching, and using hands for tasks.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Pay

$17.13–$24.00 per hour.
