Waitstaff - Casual/Per Diem - Variable Days and Shifts

About the role

The Bristal is a luxury assisted living community known for its chef-prepared cuisine and country club dining experience. We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and compassionate Waitstaff member to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all meals are served and presented according to guidelines set by the Director of Food Service
• Take resident meal orders patiently and cheerfully
• Check station tables for settings and cleanliness
• Read the menu before service to assist residents with their selections
• Aid in the plating and portion control of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts
• Buss tables at the end of each meal

Requirements

• Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good customer service and people skills
• Professional, patient, and able to meet a demanding customer base
• Experience working with seniors preferred but not required
• Willingness to be a team player and help ensure a pleasant dining experience
• Familiarity with food safety, preparation, and health guidelines
• Able to handle different personalities and situations positively
• Reliability, care, and gentleness in actions and demeanor
• An abiding respect for the elderly and calmness under pressure
