Duties And Assignments

  • Responsible for the overall condition of the assigned dining car.
  • Provide complete customer care from boarding, seating, and serving through deboarding.
  • Greet customers and perform boarding and seating procedures.
  • Prepare tables and ensure they are clean and fully set.
  • Check the quality of dishes before serving and help maintain food quality standards.
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Attend to tables and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Strictly adhere to food, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Organize and accommodate guests while maintaining clear and organized tables.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining car.
  • Stock supplies and equipment.
  • Report any issues involving guests, management, or staff to management.
  • Perform food preparation and table service to the highest standards.
  • Move food from the kitchen to the dining room and serve tables.
  • Clear dishes, glasses, silverware, and condiments from tables and move them to proper locations.
  • Remove trash and properly dispose of it.
  • Promote a positive dining experience by greeting customers, responding to service requests, and addressing complaints professionally.
  • Completely clean and reset the dining car for the next excursion after passengers deboard.
  • Recognize that the heritage train is an entertainment venue and demonstrate experienced hospitality skills.
  • Adhere to uniform policies and grooming standards, presenting a neat and professional appearance.
