Wage and Hour Attorney (REMOTE)
This role is hosted by Jobot and is for a reputable plaintiff law firm in Los Angeles seeking both a Legal Assistant and Paralegal.
About the role
A growing law firm in the Los Angeles area, considered a powerhouse in plaintiff's side wage-and-hour class action litigation, seeks highly skilled team members to join its expanding team. The firm focuses on the prosecution of consumer and employment class and representative actions, including wage-and-hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and false advertising matters. The firm has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of thousands of employees and consumers in California and maintains a large number of active cases in both state and federal courts throughout the state.
This is an opportunity to gain experience and exposure working with a leading firm in state and federal plaintiffs-side class action litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
- Support in civil litigation, including discovery processes
- Assist with oral advocacy and court appearances
- Engage in motion practice
- Participate in taking and defending depositions
Requirements
- Must be licensed in the state of residence
- 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage-and-hour litigation is a plus
- FEHA or PAGA experience is ideal

$150,000 - $350,000 per year
