About the role

Atlas is seeking a WABO Special Inspector to provide valuable special inspection services on some of the largest transportation projects in the PNW. The ideal candidate will be WABO certified, preferably in structural steel and post-tensioned concrete. Responsibilities

• Conduct applicable inspections as scheduled
• Read, interpret, and understand project specifications and drawings
• Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
• Demonstrate high proficiency with verbal and written communication
• Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness of results

Requirements

• WABO certification (required)
• Preferably certified in structural steel and post-tensioned concrete
• Preferred certifications: ICC (multiple categories), ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, WSDOT/WAQTC, CWI, NACE, and other materials-related certifications
• Basic awareness of problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing
• Valid driver’s license upon hire
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$32 - $55 hourly rate. The expected salary range is displayed in accordance with state law, with final compensation based on individual qualifications and experience.
