About the role
The Inventory Control Lead oversees and coordinates inventory management activities including layout optimization, record review, scheduling, report preparation, discrepancy resolution, and team communication.
Responsibilities
- Maintain layout of stockroom, warehouse, and storage areas
- Study records and recommend actions for non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock
- Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures, and assess stock levels
- Schedule special and periodic inventories
- Prepare composite reports from individual reports
- Trace item histories to resolve discrepancies and recommend actions
- Issue instructions and expedite workflow
- Assign duties and examine work for conformance to policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control
- Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in warehouse environments
- Experience operating forklifts and cherry pickers/high lifts
- Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred)
- Knowledge of Inventory Control practices, KPI reporting, cycle count programs, product rotation
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Additional Responsibilities
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write reports and correspondence
- Utilize computer terminal for inventory management
- Operate phone systems with keyboards and buttons
- Communicate clearly and effectively
Travel Requirement
Occasional travel to assist other facilities is required, requiring reliable transportation.

- Work in excess of 8 hours when required
