W08 - Material Handler - B Shift -5am-3:30pm

About the role

To perform loading / unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer. Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies. Proper storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location. Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking. Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse. Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day. General maintenance of are surrounding warehouse. Ensure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty. Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. Process outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Loading / unloading truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
• Picking and moving from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.
• Ensure all documentation is properly completed.
• Clock in/out and clock out for shift.
• Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.
• General maintenance of are surrounding warehouse.
• Sweep clean of any debris when empty.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Process outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.

Requirements

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
• Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
• Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
• Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
• Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
• Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
• Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
• Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Qualifications

• 1 year Fork Lift driving experience.
• Certified Fork Lift License.
