VTL Machinist
About the role
Our VTL Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate all machine tools in your area of responsibility to produce various parts within specifications from blueprints.
- Read and understand manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and use good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
- Work accurately with basic keyboard and monitor interfaced with the mainframe computer to enter work order data and correct qualities as required.
- Hold very close tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Requirements
- Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with fractional measurements and decimals.
- Use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators, CMM, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Demonstrated history of good attendance and a safe work record.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years of CNC machining working with CNC VTLs.
- The ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Computer proficiency.
- Experience working with stainless steel or duplex stainless steel preferred.
- Ability to do minor program edits.

Pay
Rate of Pay: $30-$34/hour depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus based on quarterly goals. Shift Differential $2.50/hour

2ND SHIFT - Hours: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
