About the role
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines. Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications. Setup, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. Check parts to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled. Measure, examine, and test completed units to defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.

Requirements
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- High School Degree or G.E.D
- 1+ years of experience
Qualifications
- Precision Manufacturing Certificate preferred
Skills
- Able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Able to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
- Able to setup and operate CNC turning and milling machines
- Able to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerances
- Knowledge of G & M codes
