Vrijwillige verhalenverteller in Drunense Duinen/Udenhout

About the role

As a Verhalenverteller at Het Bewaarde Land in the Drunense Duinen/Udenhout, you will play the role of 'Fleur'. You will act as a 'nature host' within the 'Bewaard Land', a piece of nature that needs to be preserved for future generations. You will lead groups of children and inspire them to explore and marvel at nature.

Responsibilities

• Receive a group of children and engage them in activities that encourage exploration and discovery.
• Lead small groups of children on nature walks and share knowledge about plants.
• Engage with children through storytelling and sharing experiences from your time in the forest.

Requirements

• Enjoy being outdoors and willing to spend three days in the forest.
• Find it enjoyable to work with children aged 8 to 10 years old.
• Have a passion for storytelling and enjoy taking on the role of a host.
• Participate in the training for new volunteers (one training day and one project with experienced volunteers).

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required but experience with storytelling and theater is beneficial.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to connect with children and inspire them.
• Knowledge of local flora and fauna.
