VPK Lead Teacher (Full-Time), Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy

About the role

Responsible for leading the VPK program at Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy, overseeing curriculum implementation, managing classroom operations, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the VPK curriculum in accordance with state standards.
• Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, student supervision, and behavior management.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ensure all VPK students meet or exceed state-mandated benchmarks.
• Attend required training sessions and professional development workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Valid Florida VPK certification.
• At least two years of teaching experience in early childhood education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
