Key Duties
- Develop and execute a U.S. growth strategy focused on increasing market share and driving revenue across military, government, and public safety verticals
- Research and identify current and future opportunities to increase market share in target sectors
- Identify and secure dynamic funding streams, contract vehicles, and strategic growth opportunities
- Target and vet U.S. government partner programs, joint ventures, and strategic alliances
- Own and manage government relations, including lobbyist relationships, legislative engagement, and advocacy efforts that support the company’s market position and growth objectives
- Navigate and thrive in changing DoD procurement environment
- Implement and maintain structured pipeline management and procurement processes that support forecasting accuracy and revenue visibility
- Oversee statements of work and technical specifications in coordination with engineering and operations
- Build, lead, and develop a high performing U.S. Business Development team
Requirements
- BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field; MBA or degree in engineering a plus
- 12+ years of progressive business development or sales leadership experience, including senior ownership of scaling a revenue organization through its next phase of growth, with a complex product sold into defense, government, public safety, robotics, or a related industry
- Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high performing Go-To-Market or Business Development teams
- Strong executive presence with a track record of partnering closely with C-suite leadership and key stakeholders
- Executive level market knowledge across U.S. defense, government, and public safety sectors
- Superior communication, negotiation, and cross functional collaboration skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a General Employment Background Check; ability to obtain additional Security Clearances based on customer/territory requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Travel required up to 65% of the time
- Location: Philadelphia, PA or Washington, D.C preferred. Remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
