VP, Product
The Opportunity
We are looking for a VP of Product to own and grow core products across Flock's portfolio, spanning the full technology stack, including software, AI-driven capabilities, and hardware-enabled systems. This role is responsible for ensuring a set of highly visible, mission-critical products continue to evolve, scale, and differentiate as Flock expands into new markets and use cases. You will lead product strategy and execution across these product areas, working closely with Engineering, GTM, Legal, and executive leadership to translate customer needs, market dynamics, and technical capabilities into sustained product leadership. In addition to internal product leadership, this role includes representing Flock's products externally, clearly explaining how they work and the principles that guide their development to customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for a complex, multi-layered product portfolio across hardware, firmware, and cloud software.
- Drive continued growth and differentiation of a core product area across the markets we serve.
- Lead and develop Product Managers responsible for key components of the product portfolio.
- Partner closely with Engineering to align product direction with technical architecture, platform evolution, and delivery realities.
- Translate customer, market, and competitive signals into clear product priorities that balance innovation, reliability, scalability, and time-to-value.
- Represent the product externally with clarity around how it works and the principles that guide its development.
- Establish strong cross-functional partnerships with Legal, Policy, Communications, GTM, and executive leadership to support product development, governance, and communication.
The Skillset
- Proven experience owning and growing a complex, technology-driven product in markets where trust, reliability, and explainability are as critical as feature velocity.
- Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize effectively in environments with competing demands and incomplete information.
- Commercial and customer intuition, with the ability to connect product decisions to real-world market outcomes.
- Comfort operating across the full stack, including software platforms, AI-enabled systems, and hardware-adjacent products.
- Ability to partner deeply with Engineering on technical tradeoffs, sequencing, and platform decisions.
- Credibility as a product leader who can clearly explain how products work to audiences with varying levels of technical familiarity.
- Experience engaging in high-stakes or nuanced product conversations with customers, partners, or external stakeholders.
- Clear executive communication skills, with the ability to surface risks, trends, and opportunities early.
- Comfort leading in competitive, fast-moving markets where product differentiation and trust both matter.
