VP, Partnership & Solutions
Brief Description
Bold Penguin is seeking a VP, Partnership and Solutions who can lead the company's strategic partnerships and solutions efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial insurance distribution, account management, strategic planning, and digital insurance platforms.
What You'll Do
Account Ownership, Same-Store Sales, and Solutions (50%): Accountable for the profit and loss of assigned enterprise/strategic accounts. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within accounts, as well as internal teams. Lead discovery and solution discussions. Share the voice of the customer to influence new solutions, product functionality, and revenue opportunity for Bold Penguin.
Sales and Solutions (50%): Drive revenue through developing relationships, closing new business, with a focus on top tier accounts in alignment with strategic focus areas. Manage the end-to-end sales process with leadership for complex opportunities. Lead discovery and solution discussions. Act as a product evangelist, representing Bold Penguin solutions at industry events / webinars, thought leadership opportunities, and speaking engagements.
Requirements
Requirements:
Your Location: This is a fully remote role, with the exception of onboarding, business travel (client site and industry events), and optional in-office events.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with commercial lines experience.
7+ years of experience in relationship management, partnership development, business development, or related roles.
5+ years of experience in leadership role.
Knowledge of digital insurance platforms and APIs; functional and technical credibility to sell complex SaaS solutions.
Strategic planning and performance measurement experience.
Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop executive presentations from scratch and communicate directly with senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and analytically, with strong problem-solving skills, to develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
Deep understanding of the industry landscape, including emerging trends and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity and develop scalable / repeatable go-to-market solutions across multiple teams and functional areas.
Prior experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, evolving environment.
Prior experience managing senior level direct reports and achieving project goals within time and budget constraints.
Travel may be required as needed up to several times a month to client’s site and industry events.
