VP of Talent and Development
About the role
RareOne Group is building a modern platform that empowers independent marketing agencies to scale while maintaining their unique qualities. This is a remote position with occasional travel, preference for Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.
Responsibilities
Build and lead a scalable recruiting strategy across all agencies
Partner with leaders on workforce planning and hiring priorities
Develop strong talent pipelines for key and future leadership roles
Elevate employer brand to attract top creative, technical, and leadership talent
Improve candidate experience and time-to-hire
Design and implement initiatives to improve engagement, retention, and morale
Foster a cohesive culture across multiple agencies without losing individual identity
Lead internal communications around people and culture
Create structured career paths across roles and agencies
Build and scale learning and development programs
Implement performance management frameworks that drive growth and accountability
Enable internal mobility and promotions
Design and deliver training for managers and leaders
Coach agency leaders on performance, feedback, and team dynamics
Build onboarding and development programs for new managers
Strengthen the leadership bench across the organization
Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with business goals
Standardize best practices across agencies where it makes sense
Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related topics
Collaborate with the PEO to ensure smooth HR operations (payroll, benefits, compliance)
Requirements
10+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience
Experience in agencies, professional services, or multi-entity organizations preferred
Proven success building recruiting, L&D, and engagement programs from scratch
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
Experience working with or alongside a PEO
A true builder mindset—excited to create, not just manage
QualificationsMust have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay
Base Salary: $180,000 – $210,000
