Responsibilities
- Execute sales strategies based on guidance from VP of Regional Sales and VP of Division Sales
- Work cross-functionally with bakeries to address product quality, late deliveries, and other sales-impacting issues
- Partner with ASDs to execute local sales plans and pursue profitable new business to achieve period and annual goals
- Maintain close contact with VP of Regional Sales to align talent and sales plans with business needs and market demands
- Analyze reports from digital sales teams, distributor enablement, and revenue growth management using the Customer Product Profitability (CPP) dashboard to grow profitable sales
- Ensure ASDs focus daily on fundamentals: displays, customer relations, time schedules, callbacks, space, position, and distribution
- Assist ASDs in selling and general/IDP relationship efforts, providing industry standards and best practices
- Use digital products and the Go Spot Check (GSC) tool to monitor units, dollar sales, profit margin, and stale to drive business conversations
- Provide ASDs with guidance to achieve profit goals and compliance with policies (e.g., customer service, equipment, vehicle, warehouse, recruitment, retention, training, discipline, safety, record-keeping, EEO, and HR-related areas)
- Conduct weekly meetings with ASDs to discuss performance against perfect store execution
- Coach and mentor ASDs on using available information and presenting it professionally to align Flowers goals with customer/employee goals
- Interact with and visit key customer accounts to build rapport and increase selling opportunities
- Maintain contact with other Market Sales VPs and the Retail Team to share cross-regional successes and drive overall sales growth
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (e.g., EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes-Oxley, Safety, Mandatory Training)
- Perform other duties integral to the position, including using digital tools, dashboard reports, and adhering to work schedules and attendance policies
- Partner with Human Resources to develop succession plans, employee development, engagement, and retention
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Business Administration preferred
- Relevant experience in general management or sales; previous experience as a Sales Consultant preferred
Pay
Salary Range: $105,000.00 to $115,000.00 depending on experience
This role oversees 2,005 customers, 12 ASDs, and 105 territories.
