By emphasizing One Park, One Mission, One Team, the VP of Lending Production (Commercial/Mortgage) is responsible for leading a unified and strategic approach to loan production across commercial and mortgage lending. This role drives sustainable growth, strengthens pipeline development, and ensures a consistent, high-quality approach to generating lending opportunities that align with organizational goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Commercial Lending Strategy, Growth & Origination - Leads the strategy and execution of commercial lending production, driving portfolio growth, market expansion, and pipeline development. Establishes production goals, builds key market relationships, and ensures high-quality origination and deal structuring aligned with organizational growth and risk objectives.
Mortgage Lending Production & Growth - Oversees mortgage lending production, ensuring consistent pipeline development, origination quality, and alignment with production goals. Supports market positioning, production strategies, and overall performance across mortgage lending.
Team Leadership & Performance Management - Leads, coaches, and develops lending teams to achieve production goals, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and collaboration. Establishes clear expectations and drives performance through consistent coaching, metrics, and development.
Origination Execution & Pipeline Management - Drives execution discipline across both commercial and mortgage lending, ensuring effective pipeline management, deal progression, turnaround times, and overall production performance.
Operational Partnership & Strategic Alignment - Collaborates with operations and cross-functional partners to ensure efficient execution of the loan lifecycle, while contributing to process improvements, reporting, and broader strategic initiatives.
Risk & Compliance Alignment - Ensures all lending activities align with credit union policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements, partnering closely with Credit, Risk, and Compliance to maintain strong portfolio quality.

- To achieve the budgeted loan production goals as measured by funded volume, pipeline strength, and portfolio expansion.
- To ensure all originated loans meet established credit union policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining strong asset quality and risk alignment.
- To develop and maintain a high-performing lending team, evidenced by achievement of production goals, engagement, and completion of performance reviews within established timelines.
- To drive effective pipeline management and production discipline, as demonstrated by timely deal progression, conversion rates, and turnaround times across commercial and mortgage lending.
- To maintain a strong market presence and referral network, resulting in sustained growth in qualified lending opportunities and strategic relationships within target markets.
- To follow the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including running OFAC searches, completing investigative reports of suspicious activity and currency transaction reports timely and without error.
- To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a businesslike appearance.
- To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to manager immediately.
Knowledge And Skills
Strong knowledge of commercial lending and working knowledge of mortgage lending products.
Proven ability to drive loan production through pipeline management and market development.
Strong leadership and people development skills, with the ability to build, coach, and motivate high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into action.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, frequent use of hands and fingers, reading, writing, speaking, using personal computers, copiers, telephones, and other office equipment and software.
- Sometimes stooping, bending, squatting, reaching overhead with hands and arms, lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds, occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range
$176,063.76 - $181,509.03 per year
