VP of International Tax

For our client, we are seeking a VP of International Tax to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This leader will own the organization's global tax strategy and governance, with a particular emphasis on international compliance, transfer pricing, and indirect tax controls. The role will partner closely with finance, legal, and external advisors to support cross-border growth, acquisitions, and audit readiness while maintaining a conservative risk posture. It is well suited for a senior tax executive who can build scalable frameworks across jurisdictions and guide decision-making in a complex international environment. Location: Kansas City, MO - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and oversee international tax compliance frameworks for multiple jurisdictions. Lead U.S. sales tax compliance and extend indirect tax governance globally. Design and implement global transfer pricing policies in line with OECD principles. Provide tax structuring and risk assessment for international acquisitions. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate international audits. Qualifications Proven international tax leadership experience building global tax strategies from the ground up. Expertise in transfer pricing and indirect tax, including OECD principles and VAT/GST compliance. Ability to operate in a low risk-tolerance environment, with a focus on conservative tax positions and strong governance controls. Experience managing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, especially in Europe and Asia. Strong background supporting international growth and M&A activities.
