Responsibilities
- Leverage National Broker partnerships to drive substantial growth in new premiums and enhance overall profitability.
- Evaluate and prioritize partnerships and develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans.
- Create and communicate benchmarking data to monitor and analyze national broker performance.
- Expand market penetration by executing strategies that give us access to new customer segments and geographic markets.
- Create and execute initiatives that drive brand visibility and customer engagement through partner channels.
- Foster strong, successful relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, underwriting, marketing, claims, and product teams.
- Build and maintain C-suite and regional leadership relationships within each national broker.
- Maintain open and transparent communication channels with strategic partners.
- Enlist other Berkley One functions to engage with national brokers in support of an exceptional customer experience.
- Identify and prioritize key offices and producers for targeted visits, joint calls, and opportunity-level engagement.
- Build and manage an inside sales team and capability that expands reach in distribution and directly contributes to closing more new business opportunities.
- Ensure team can provide consultation and assistance to agency partners on optimizing rates for customers, understanding the target market, and finding creative approaches to accounts.
- Implement workflows and develop sales skills enabling the team to successfully guide leads through the sales process.
- Utilize cutting-edge technology models to identify desirable accounts and proactively pursue them.
- Partner with the distribution and underwriting teams to drive new business and enhance prospects.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns that help agency partners grow their book of business.
- Work with the team and the larger organization to drive changes in day-to-day operations or larger organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in high-net-worth personal lines business development roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Able to quickly and proactively synthesize data and current market conditions and recommend portfolio pivots to protect profitability or seize on profitable growth opportunities.
- Ability to drive results by identifying and resolving significant problems within scope of responsibility.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing producer relationships, with a strong client-first orientation.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead teams and drive complex initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills.
