Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Tableau's market strategy across key verticals, customer segments, and geographies in alignment with Salesforce's broader platform vision
  • Build and scale the Tableau partner ecosystem — including ISVs, SIs, OEM partners, cloud marketplace alliances (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Salesforce AppExchange partners
  • Identify whitespace opportunities in the analytics and BI market by monitoring competitive dynamics (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and emerging trends (AI-driven analytics, data literacy)
  • Drive co-sell, co-marketing, and embedded analytics motions with Salesforce and key technology partners
  • Represent Tableau externally as a thought leader at industry events (e.g., Tableau Conference, Dreamforce, Gartner Data & Analytics Summit) and with analysts (Gartner, Forrester)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Salesforce Platform teams to build pipeline and accelerate customer adoption
  • Establish and track KPIs for ecosystem health, partner-sourced revenue, and market penetration
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of strategy and ecosystem managers
  • Present strategy and results to C-suite and Salesforce executive stakeholders

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in market strategy, partnerships, business development, or ecosystem management in enterprise software or data/analytics
  • Deep knowledge of the business intelligence, analytics, or data management landscape
  • Proven ability to build and activate partner ecosystems that drive measurable revenue impact
  • Experience working within or alongside a large platform company (Salesforce experience a plus)
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using market research and competitive intelligence to shape strategy
  • Passion for data, analytics, and the power of visual storytelling
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
