VP, Market Strategy & Ecosystem — Tableau

What You'll Do
- Define and lead Tableau's market strategy across key verticals, customer segments, and geographies in alignment with Salesforce's broader platform vision
- Build and scale the Tableau partner ecosystem — including ISVs, SIs, OEM partners, cloud marketplace alliances (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Salesforce AppExchange partners
- Identify whitespace opportunities in the analytics and BI market by monitoring competitive dynamics (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and emerging trends (AI-driven analytics, data literacy)
- Drive co-sell, co-marketing, and embedded analytics motions with Salesforce and key technology partners
- Represent Tableau externally as a thought leader at industry events (e.g., Tableau Conference, Dreamforce, Gartner Data & Analytics Summit) and with analysts (Gartner, Forrester)
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Salesforce Platform teams to build pipeline and accelerate customer adoption
- Establish and track KPIs for ecosystem health, partner-sourced revenue, and market penetration
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of strategy and ecosystem managers
- Present strategy and results to C-suite and Salesforce executive stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of experience in market strategy, partnerships, business development, or ecosystem management in enterprise software or data/analytics
- Deep knowledge of the business intelligence, analytics, or data management landscape
- Proven ability to build and activate partner ecosystems that drive measurable revenue impact
- Experience working within or alongside a large platform company (Salesforce experience a plus)
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
- Data-driven mindset with experience using market research and competitive intelligence to shape strategy
- Passion for data, analytics, and the power of visual storytelling
- MBA or equivalent preferred

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $257,500 - $451,700 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $310,200 - $496,400 annually.
