VP, International Relationship Manager

About the role

Banesco USA is seeking a VP, Relationship Manager for its International Department. The primary responsibilities include developing and growing deposits, expanding the client base, conducting team meetings, coaching and mentoring representatives, traveling internationally to meet with customers, cross-selling bank products and services, maintaining customer information for BSA purposes, managing NSF and overdraft processing, responding to inquiries, visiting high-risk accounts, and completing annual training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow deposits and expand client portfolios
• Meet established semi-annual/annual goals for the assigned team
• Conduct periodic team meetings to measure productivity and coach/mentor representatives
• Travel to Venezuela and other countries to meet with prospective and existing customers
• Actively cross-sell all bank products and services to maximize and expand relationships
• Maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers ensuring BSA requirements are met
• Oversee processing of NSF and overdraft, hold and stop payments, document and procedures for accounts involving the death of account holders, incoming and outgoing wire requests, etc.
• Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers regarding accounts and transactions
• Visit high-risk accounts according to BSA guidelines and visitation policies
• Complete requests from BSA, answer KYC, ECS, and RFI’s on a timely basis
• Resolve complex issues and/or transactions for customers
• Complete annual training program

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the International Business role and/or Sales role
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational Skills: Strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills
• Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers
• Selling/Cross-Selling: Advance knowledge of selling and cross-selling techniques to provide customers with the bank’s products and services
• Compliance: Advance knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to provide customers with solutions
• Presentation: Strong presentation skills to various levels of the organization
• Operational Knowledge: Advance knowledge of bank’s operating activities, terminology, and products and services
• Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment ensuring performance goals are met
