VP, HR Business Partner
About the role
The Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner for AgriSompo is responsible for aligning AgriSompo’s business objectives with its employees and leaders to enable strategy, shape behaviors and drive results. The role will lead, partner, and influence the business with key HR decisions and actions around organizational design, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement and diversity & inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Execution of all aspects of HR within the AgriSompo Business Unit including talent management, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, organizational development and diversity & inclusion.
- Managing the headcount in line with the strategic growth plans. Identify staffing requirements and sourcing strategies needed to meet the goals and objectives of the business.
- Provide employee relations management that creates a positive organizational culture and minimizes risk. Investigate and resolve employee complaints, issues and concerns regarding employment practices.
- Implement and execute performance management programs and procedures, including but not limited to performance appraisals and performance improvement plans.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence on compensation, recruiting, learning & development, and diversity & inclusion initiatives to integrate programs into business-facing deliverables, including annual compensation planning, AgriSompo-specific compensation programs, training, talent acquisition, and employee learning and development.
- Manage and develop a team of Human Resource Business Partners.
- Cultivate leadership and ethical values in self and others through modeling and coaching.
- Build relationships with clients and influence across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Ensure high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
Requirements
- 15 + years exempt-level Human Resource experience including recruiting, employee relations, compensation planning, and performance management.
- 10+ years management experience, with strong people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Techically adept; experience with HRIS; Workday preferred; Strong Excel and Microsoft Office Skills required; excellent data management and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred - Human Resources Management, Business or related field or equivalent.

Pay
Our compensation program is built on a foundation that promotes a pay-for-performance culture, resulting in higher incentive awards, on average, when the Company does well and lower incentive awards when the Company underperforms. The total compensation opportunity for all regular, full-time employees is a combination of base salary and incentives that gets adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.
