About the role

The VP, Financial Consultant leads the financial guidance and wealth management services provided to existing Schwab clients. This role involves growing the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals. The ideal candidate possesses a valid and active FINRA Series 7 license, with the potential to obtain or acquire FINRA Series 66 licenses and life & health insurance licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management advice to existing Schwab clients
  • Grow the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals
  • Adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve
  • Build strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and deepening the client relationship
  • Manage wealth on behalf of clients, including retirement planning, education planning, investment management, banking & lending management, insurance & risk management, and estate planning
  • Leverage Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, and market knowledge to inspire client action towards achieving their financial goals

Requirements

  • A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
  • Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance licenses during tenure
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exceed client expectations
  • Openness to managing wealth on behalf of clients
  • Passion for community engagement and sharing market insights
