About the role
The VP, Financial Consultant at Schwab is responsible for leading the financial guidance and wealth management services provided to existing Schwab clients. This role involves growing the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals. The ideal candidate should possess a valid and active FINRA Series 7 license, be open to managing wealth on behalf of clients, and have a passion for community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial guidance and wealth management advice to existing Schwab clients.
- Grow the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals.
- Manage wealth on behalf of clients, including Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Investment Management, Banking & Lending Management, Insurance & Risk Management, and Estate Planning.
- Leverage Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, and market knowledge to inspire action and meet client goals.
- Adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve.
- Engage and encourage trust with clients, fostering strong relationships and exceeding client expectations.
Requirements
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required.
- Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license during tenure on the job.
- Strong relationship-building and client communication skills.
- Ability to manage wealth on behalf of clients.
- Openness to managing various aspects of wealth.
- Passion for community engagement and sharing market insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Knowledge of Schwab’s advice guidelines and market trends.
- Ability to inspire action and help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Passion for community engagement and client education.
