VP, Finance North America Specialty Risk

About the Role

This role will assist the executive leadership in managing the North America Specialty Risk (NASR) business and will be an integral part of the NASR team. As the FP&A business partner for NASR, you will perform analysis of historical results, project future financial expectations, help manage costs, and improve profitability. The role involves exploring opportunities to enhance meaningful business metrics and analysis to facilitate better business decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Work with North America Specialty Risk leadership to establish budgets and plans.
  • Develop standard management reports and KPIs to support North America SR leadership and senior management.
  • Review actual and forecasted results compared to budgets and provide insights and analysis.
  • Develop input for executive FP&A presentations.
  • Work with the FP&A expense lead to help manage costs within North America SR.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A transformation lead to drive projects through completion.
  • Stay current with market trends and demands.
  • Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Finance, Economics, or Risk Management.
  • Understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting.
  • 10 years of experience in the property/casualty industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Modest travel, including overnight travel, is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Specialty Risk modeling experience.
  • Former financial business partnering for a Specialty Risk business.

Pay

The expected salary range for this role is $165,300 - $250,000 annually. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, education, the scope and responsibilities of the role, as well as market and business considerations.
