Join DAZN and be part of a finance team at the heart of a global sports disruptor. As VP Finance, you’ll drive financial performance across North America, deliver strategic insight, and work closely with senior leadership to shape the business. This is a fast-paced environment where innovation meets discipline, and where your impact will be visible in the way we grow, invest and operate. It’s a role for someone who thrives on ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and building scalable finance functions in dynamic businesses.

About the role

This is a senior individual contributor and leadership role for a strategic finance executive with deep FP&A expertise, operating at the intersection of data-driven insight, executive storytelling, and enterprise-scale financial planning. Reporting to the Finance Director Markets, you will own the end-to-end financial planning cycle, serve as the primary financial business partner, and lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and commercial analysis.

A core focus of this role is supporting DAZN’s business in North America—a strategically significant and financially complex operation requiring deep understanding of subscription economics, broadcast and digital operations, and local sports market dynamics. You will drive P&L accountability across the portfolio and broader North American business, translate financial performance into actionable strategic recommendations, and play a central role in capital allocation decisions and growth investment analysis. This role demands both the analytical rigor expected at top-tier media and technology companies and the executive presence to influence at the most senior levels of the organization.

This role can be based in New York. The internal job title is VP Finance North America.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the integrated annual planning (AOP), rolling forecast, and long-range planning (LRP) processes across North America, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide financial targets and strategic priorities
  • Serve as the strategic finance business partner to the executive leadership team, translating complex financial data into clear, executive-level narratives and decision-support frameworks
  • Drive P&L ownership across multiple revenue channels, overseeing variance analysis, KPI tracking, and performance management cadence in partnership with commercial, product, and content teams
  • Lead sophisticated financial modelling, scenario analysis, and investment appraisal for major strategic initiatives, rights deals, go-to-market investments, and capital allocation decisions
  • Provide dedicated financial leadership for DAZN’s business, including P&L management across individual properties, subscription modelling, and sports rights cost analysis
  • Champion finance transformation initiatives including the adoption of advanced analytics, AI-enabled forecasting tools, and process automation to drive efficiency and scalability across the finance function
  • Partner with central FP&A, Accounting, and Treasury teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity across financial reporting, in alignment with IFRS and internal controls frameworks
  • Develop and present board-level and executive management reporting, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and ad hoc strategic analyses for C-suite and investor audiences

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within a large-scale media, streaming, sports, or technology company
  • Proven track record as a strategic business partner to C-suite and senior commercial leaders, with the ability to operate at both a macro-strategic and granular analytical level
  • Deep expertise in integrated financial planning, driver-based modelling, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-range planning (LRP) methodologies
  • Strong command of subscription and DTC business economics, including LTV, CAC, churn, ARPU, and cohort-level performance analysis; experience in streaming or digital media is a strong advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in enterprise FP&A platforms (Oracle PBCS), BI tools (Looker, Power BI), and Excel financial modelling at an expert level
  • Exceptional executive communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to distil complex analysis into clear, compelling board-level presentations and investment narratives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CFA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent advanced qualification strongly preferred
  • A genuine passion for sport and the ambition to shape a leading global media business

Benefits

  • Access to DAZN
  • Up to 15 days of paid time off and 9 days of annual leave
  • Health benefits (including dental & eye care)
  • Generous sick time package
  • Short and long-term disability coverage
  • Parental leave offering
  • Personal insurances, such as basic life term and personal accident
  • Access to a 401(k) retirement plan
