VP Finance Audit

This role is based in New York at a financial services company.

About the role

Lead and manage financial audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Develop and implement effective audit methodologies and procedures, collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial risks, and prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute audit processes within the Accounting & Finance department
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations and reporting
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management practices
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure their integration into audit practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior audit staff
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership effectively

Requirements

• Strong experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance
• Experience leading or performing audits related to Finance reporting activities
• Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Capability to work collaboratively across departments

Pay

$140,000 to $160,000 annually
