About the role

This role is responsible for overseeing the production of multichannel projects across in-person activations and digital experiences. It involves developing a cohesive experiential strategy, managing client relationships, concepting standout experiences that drive social conversation and press coverage, overseeing technical execution across integrated campaigns, managing complex timelines & large budgets, and developing a talented team of producers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of experiential projects and client relationships, ensuring strong delivery, client satisfaction + retention, and continued engagement.
  • Serve as the senior strategic lead across a portfolio of clients, setting vision, KPIs, and success frameworks while ensuring consistent delivery of top-tier results.
  • Manage a large portfolio client with multiple initiatives overlapping at any given time; experience in the beauty space is a plus, but not required.
  • Own the measurement framework for programs across your portfolio, defining how success is evaluated, how results are reported, and how experiential work connects to each client's business objectives.
  • Operate as executive producer (or lead producer for larger, more complex programs) on 5-10 programs at any given time, stepping in to guide execution and troubleshoot when needed.
  • Understand the technical needs to execute creative concepting, overseeing the fundamentals of each project (timelines, budget, vendor negotiations, permitting, etc) and acting as quality control to ensure every project is best-in-class.
  • Partner with Department Head and peers to understand team capacity and bandwidth and to assign staffers to projects.
  • Manage and develop Experiential talent, providing mentorship, feedback, and clear growth pathways.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and ongoing coaching.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that prioritizes creativity, accountability, and growth.
  • Ensure timelines and budgets are developed appropriately, thinking proactively through client needs, approval timelines, and shifting deliverables.
  • Liaise across the in-house team ensuring alignment between the department head, creative, finance, press teams, and producers.
  • Develop mastery of SGPR's existing financial systems with the goal of owning scoping, staffing models, and margin management for your clients.
  • Oversee account performance against budgets and staffing plans, ensuring efficient delivery and strong utilization.
  • Determine when your group needs to grow, what roles are needed, and who fills them, partnering with the department head and the hiring team to move quickly on the right people.
  • Support leadership in long-term strategic planning for the team, creating scalable processes and increasing team efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience managing and executing events (agency or in-house), negotiating contracts, creating and managing successful experiential programs, and maintaining a strong network of production partners, vendors, venues, and media relationships.
  • You've led an array of projects from pop-ups, to multi-day conferences to product launch events to intimate dinners and mobile activations, and have ample knowledge around permit requirements and application processes in major US markets.
  • You've built your career working across strategy, creative, production, and client service, and are looking for opportunities that allow you to flex your well-rounded experiential perspective.
  • You have multiple years of experience managing direct reports, understanding how to delegate both up and down to ensure projects are completed on-time and in-line with client expectations.
  • You understand multi-channel projects and how to manage an array of vendors across timelines.
  • You're not afraid to dive into the details when the team needs support to get a project over the finish line.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the beauty space is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to instill client confidence in opportunities, projects, and tasks.
  • Comfortable taking calls with senior clients by yourself, leading and guiding discussions to actionable outcomes with clarity and authority.
  • Content & Culture Obsessed - You are constantly tuned into culture, events, brand moments, pop-ups, and experiences that people are talking about. You understand what makes something worth showing up to and sharing, and you translate that into ideas that feel relevant, ownable, and impactful for your clients.

Pay

$146,500 - $146,500

Schedule

Hybrid schedule, working two days a week in the office and remotely as needed for event execution.
