VP Controller

The VP/Controller will lead all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, and controls, including SOX compliance, audit-ready accounting, and US GAAP guidance with a focus on fair value loan and debt accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full accounting function — A/P, A/R, month-end close, and the loan funding process
• Drive automation initiatives and own the financial systems roadmap
• Contribute to SEC and internal management reporting, annual budgeting in partnership with Strategy & Analytics, and investor materials

Requirements

• CPA with 8+ years of accounting leadership experience in financial services
• Strong SEC and SOX credentials
• Disposition of a builder — someone who wants to scale infrastructure, develop talent, and think like an operator
• Experience in lending, real estate, or mortgage finance is highly preferred
