This role sits at the intersection of product management, editorial asset utilization, commercial strategy, and customer insight, driving innovation and future commercial growth.

About The Role

As VP of Commercial Product and Content Strategy, you will define the commercial direction of WSJ Pro across product vision, content experience, packaging, and commercial opportunities. • Understand B2B buyer and user personas to guide the introduction of new features, newsletters, and API capabilities.
    • Build cohesive, insight-driven commercial launch strategies in partnership with product and marketing teams.
  • Design the Content Experience & Discovery Journey
    • Shape the commercial strategy for AI-driven capabilities (e.g., automated industry summaries, custom alerts, personalized news streams) to enhance content readability and workflow relevance.
    • Refine content discovery pathways by mapping consumption habits and industry-specific needs to distinct buyer and user personas.
    • Partner with Editorial and UX Design teams to optimize the value perception of content, ensuring complex information is presented in intuitive, digestible formats.
  • Shape the Commercial Path & Packaging Strategy
    • Monetization & Entitlements: Define the commercial model for WSJ Pro, aligning feature differentiation, content entitlement structures, and product packaging to drive enterprise growth.
    • Advanced Extensions & Workflows: Collaborate with commercial, sales, and finance stakeholders on pricing direction, bundle logic, and opportunities tied to specialized platform integrations, APIs, and future industry add-on modules.
    • Evolutionary Roadmap: Inform the strategic product path from MVP to advanced offerings, identifying content gaps or integration opportunities to support rapid new-logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
    • Translate technical product features and complex content packages into clear, compelling B2B value propositions, defining core messaging frameworks and positioning strategies.
    • Partner with Product, Sales, and Acquisition teams to refine value propositions, product/content positioning, persona messaging, and launch strategies.
  • Bring Market and Customer Insight into Commercial Strategy
    • Synthesize market research, user testing, and customer feedback to refine content selection, feature prioritization, and user journey optimization.
    • Pinpoint unmet user workflow opportunities and determine how combining WSJ reporting with Dow Jones data assets can solve professional friction points.
    • Monitor emerging B2B information trends, digital media formats, and competitor content strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
    • Generate deep audience insights by defining content consumption trends, identifying behavioral signals across industry verticals, and translating habits into actionable go-to-market recommendations.
