Role Overview
Baptist Health, founded in 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky, is a comprehensive health system committed to improving the health of the communities it serves across Kentucky and Indiana. Responsibilities
- Identify growth opportunities and build high-impact partnerships to transform strategy into measurable results across Baptist Health’s integrated health system.
- Partner with operational leaders to develop and execute market growth strategies that expand access, strengthen competitive position, and improve patient experience.
- Evaluate emerging market opportunities, identify strategic partnerships, and lead initiatives that support sustainable long-term growth.
- Develop and execute enterprise growth strategies, create joint ventures, and bring complex healthcare projects from concept through implementation.
- Lead initiatives such as freestanding emergency departments, ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient expansion, and other innovative care delivery models.
- Evaluate and implement centralized support services, including pharmacy, laboratory, laundry, supply chain, and other shared services.
- Build relationships with health systems, payers, employers, developers, community organizations, and other strategic partners while identifying opportunities for mergers, affiliations, joint ventures, and innovative business models.
- Influence executive decision-making and deliver measurable growth through strategic vision, operational execution, market intelligence, financial analysis, and collaborative leadership.
- Navigate ambiguity, negotiate complex partnerships, lead cross-functional teams, and challenge conventional thinking to create new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field)
- 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership in business development, strategic planning, corporate development, or growth strategy
- Proven success in developing market expansion strategies, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures
- Experience leading complex healthcare initiatives from business case through implementation
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, negotiation, financial acumen, and relationship-building skills
