About the role
Banesco USA is seeking a VP, Relationship Manager for our Business & Professional unit. The primary job duties include responsible for business development activities for the generation of deposits and loans for their portfolio while expanding the current and new client base. Responsibilities also involve analyzing client account activities, presenting financing requests, coordinating loan processes, monitoring loan portfolios, and managing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develops and grows the portfolio’s deposits, loans, fee income and refers new and existing customers to the appropriate lines of business.
- Analyzes new and existing client account activities to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Participates in community and business functions to enhance the bank's image and establish referral contacts.
- Performs a pre-qualification assessment and analysis of the financial condition and risk of loan requests.
- Gathers and analyzes information necessary to present a financing request to management and/or loan committee for approval.
- Negotiates loan terms and conditions and coordinates the process of approved loans.
- Solves issues related to the processing and servicing of loans and approves loan disbursements in accordance with agreements.
- Maintains the loan portfolio to ensure safety and soundness and takes necessary actions to remedy any deficiencies or gather missing documentation.
- Captures the entire banking relationship holistically: deposits, loans, and cash management.
- Completes requests from BSA, answers KYC, ECS, and RFI’s on a timely basis.
- Reviews and manages customer accounts for NSF, overdraft, wire transfers, BSA requirements, etc.
- Works in partnership with branches and completes annual training programs.
- Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Business Banker or in Private Banking. Formal credit training preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, selling and cross-selling techniques ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and branch operational policies.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to provide customers with solutions.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and take initiative in daily tasks ensuring assignments and goals are met on time.
