VP Branch Operations
About the role
The role is to direct and coordinate the activities of personnel in Credit Union branches, ensuring the branches meet organizational, financial, operational, sales and service, and growth plans. This involves following a strategic process of identifying and nurturing branch employee skills, potential and career growth to achieve branch objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary liaison between branch teams and senior management to resolve operational issues, maintain service standards, and uphold regulatory requirements (40%)
- Provides sales and service leadership to assigned Branch Managers in the Roanoke market while supporting excellent member service and working to improve NPS (20%)
- Monitors all office activity for compliance to applicable regulations and adherence to organizational policy and procedures in regard to branch security, transactions, loans, errors, new accounts, and documents prepared by subordinate personnel (10%)
- Opens new accounts and submits loans for processing and decisioning; communicates disposition to member (10%)
Requirements
- Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry, including OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act
- Meets or exceeds performance expectations as described in Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Qualifications
Requires eight to ten years of similar or related experience and one of the following: a two-year college degree, completion of a specialized certification or licensing, completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, influence, and/or train others. Requires skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard, computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, and telephone, as well as the ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals, and other related materials. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also required. Registration on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and registry is a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this job include regular sitting, use of hands to finger, handle controls, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors in an office environment with normal potential for exposure to safety and health hazards. May periodically travel to other, similar sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
