About the Role

The Branch Manager II is a dynamic role, responsible for the growth of consumer and business customer relationships and the administration and daily operation of multiple retail branch offices (two or more) or a single branch with a qualifying deposit base and FTE count. This includes operations and risk management, lending, product sales, customer service, performance management, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank’s objectives.

The Branch Manager II provides leadership to the branches team members, resulting in the attainment of branch objectives and goals, and employee development. Objectives include maintaining, expanding, and developing customer relationships, account profitability, deposit growth, loan growth, non-traditional product sales, and cross-selling of financial products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all assigned goals, including sales-related targets for branch team members, and provide coaching as needed.
  • Conduct a minimum of one weekly team huddle and one weekly team meeting focused on sales activities and results.
  • Manage and perform an external sales calling program.
  • Provide positive leadership, mentorship, and inspire branch team members to reach their full potential.
  • Participate in professional leadership development courses and product/service training.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered and exceeds expectations, validated via customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in local community events and memberships in organizations such as Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to branch staff in collaboration with Assistant Branch Managers, ensuring adherence to bank policies and government regulations.
  • Ensure all required reports are submitted completely and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and addressing employee concerns.
  • Responsible for all risk management-related issues concerning branches.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 7 years of Branch Manager experience in a sales and service environment.
  • Business development experience with strong community ties within the general area of branch locations.
  • Demonstrated positive and professional client-centric and service-oriented attitude.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and production goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan and complete multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable of banking operational processes and how they relate to Federal Regulations and Laws.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel throughout the branch network.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or remote locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Prior multi-branch/office management experience.
  • Life and Health Licenses to support investment programs.

Licenses and Certificates

  • Required to register as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS prior to taking mortgage loan applications, negotiating, or extending terms of a mortgage or other loan secured by a residence.

Working Conditions

  • Work is mainly performed under general office conditions in a retail-banking establishment.
  • Flexible schedule, including required overtime and travel to other locations/branches.
  • Lifting from 5 to 25 lbs. (e.g., coins).
  • Prolonged sitting/standing, occasional bending or stooping (e.g., to retrieve coins from vault).
  • Moderate noise levels in a normal office environment; may involve travel to customer and property locations.

Pay

$61,600 - $88,000 annually. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
