VP, Assistant GC - Marketing

About the role

This role will shape brand and customer engagement initiatives that strengthen market presence and business impact. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal reviewer for marketing and promotional materials to ensure compliance
• Advise on substantiation requirements for advertising claims across different regulatory frameworks
• Monitor advertising law developments and advise on compliance risks
• Develop scalable programs to support influencer partnerships while ensuring legal compliance
• Act as a trusted legal advisor on marketing strategies to senior leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product launches and campaigns
• Negotiate agency, talent, and trademark licensing agreements

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar membership in one US jurisdiction
• 12+ years of legal experience in marketing and advertising, ideally in healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors
• Transactional experience from a top-tier law firm related to complex commercial matters
• Extensive knowledge of FTC advertising laws and endorsement guidelines
• Demonstrated ability in compliance review of marketing materials with intellectual property laws
• Proven track record in negotiating talent and influencer agreements at scale
• Strong business acumen to balance legal risks with brand objectives

Pay

$300,000 – $320,000 annually
