Essential Job Functions
- Aids the public in completing voter registration forms, ensuring all information is correct; issues voter registrations; scans and enters registrations into the state-controlled database; and makes address and name changes in the voter database.
- Processes electronically transmitted voter registrations, address changes, and death notices; checks for duplicates; corrects addresses in existing records by signature verification; checks for felony convictions and removes voters when necessary; and notifies registrants by mail.
- Provides general voter information to the public in person, by telephone, and by electronic means; sends requests for updated information to registrants as needed.
- Assembles and mails out absentee packages; receives and files absentee ballots; meets deadlines set by federal law.
- Coordinates with representatives picking up ballots for absentee voters; generates, assembles, and binds poll books and lists of eligible voters for each voting location; attends naturalization ceremonies and voter registration drives.
- Verifies petitions for elections; processes early voters; updates voting history for each registered voter; updates departmental maps; compiles statistical information; inputs information from the Election Commission; provides reports to the Election Commission; assists with training additional staff.
- Obtains voter registration records from storage as needed.

Working Conditions
Duties are performed primarily in a smoking-restricted office environment. Occasional attendance at meetings and functions outside agencies is required. Overtime may be required during election work periods.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of high school or GED equivalency; some work experience with voter registration, election processes, or a related area; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Must be a registered voter in the State of Arkansas.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
