General Description

Welcome to VIP – Volunteer in Pasco! Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners and giving back to your community. In Pasco County we strive to provide excellent public services that meet the needs of our citizens and enhance the quality of life for our residents and visitors.

Essential Job Functions

• Offer clerical support to division staff.
• Greet and assist walk‑in citizens.
• Answer phone calls.
• Assist with paperwork.
• Prepare mail.
• File documents.
• Perform other various tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Additional release forms, background‑check authorizations, and parental consent forms may be required prior to the first day of volunteer activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants age 16 and over will be considered for volunteer/intern opportunities.

Miscellaneous Information

• Indicate your location preference on the application; the Division of Veteran Services operates through offices in both Port Richey and Dade City.
• Provide detailed information regarding your background, education, interests, skills, and abilities in the “Why Do You Want to Volunteer in Pasco County?” section of the application.
• Assigned duties will vary based on applicant background and skill set.
