Volunteer to Deliver Meals in Columbia

Description

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound individuals in their community. Delivering meals to homebound neighbors ensures that our clients can remain aging in place.

Responsibilities

• Pick up meals at the Florence Bain Senior Center
• Deliver meals to apartment buildings and private residences in the local neighborhoods
• Deliver Monday through Friday, starting at 10:30 am
• Routes typically take an hour and a half to complete
• Volunteers can help as much as every week or volunteer as they are available as a substitute delivery driver

Requirements

Volunteers must be able to drive a vehicle and have a valid driver's license. No special training is required, but volunteers will receive training from Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland.

• Ability to drive a vehicle
• Valid driver's license
