Volunteer as a Meal Delivery Driver in Towson

Description

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound individuals in their community. Delivering meals to homebound neighbors ensures that our clients can remain aging in place.

Responsibilities

• Pick up meals at the Maryland Presbyterian Church
• Deliver meals to apartment buildings and private residences in the local neighborhoods of Towson and surrounding areas
• Deliver Monday through Friday, starting at 10:30 am
• Routes typically take an hour and a half to complete
• Volunteers can help as much as once a week or volunteer as they are available as a substitute delivery driver

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to work flexible hours

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
