Sustainable Business & Distribution Plan
We are seeking a volunteer to generate a "Sustainable Business & Distribution Plan" for the "Forest Encounters" first edition limited-edition arts publication. The plan should provide Climate House with a practical roadmap for production, pricing, distribution, and earned revenue decisions.
Project Overview
- A project overview and organizational mission
- The publication concept and draft materials
- The current production timeline
- Information about collaborators and anticipated launch formats
- Reference materials, including publishing and royalty models we are interested in exploring (such as Metalabel)
- Regular access to project leadership for discussion, questions, and feedback
Strategic Analysis and Recommendations
- Financial modeling for multiple production scenarios (e.g. different print quantities and production approaches) to help determine price-setting and distribution strategy
- Distribution strategies, including direct sales, pre-orders, online sales, launch events, museum shops, independent bookstores, and cultural institutions
- A royalty allocation framework for collaborators, including exploration of an innovative attribution model inspired by Metalabel that could direct a portion of publication proceeds toward collaborators and organizations advancing global forest protection
- Launch strategy (sales prospecting, events, talks, recuperating costs, performances, etc.)
Deliverable
The resulting deliverable will be a financial and distribution model for the publication.
