Volunteer: SEO Audit & Recommendations
About the role
No Stomach For Cancer is seeking an SEO expert to conduct a comprehensive on-page SEO audit for our two WordPress websites. This pro bono partnership, facilitated by Taproot Foundation, will help us identify issues hindering our online visibility and ensure our sites are properly crawled and indexed for search and AI applications.
Audit scope
The SEO audit should assess the strengths and weaknesses of our website(s), including:
- Title tags
- Meta descriptions
- Duplicate content
- Content copy
- Internal links
- URLs
- Broken links
- Image sizes
- ALT tags
- Website speed
Deliverables
Following the audit, the specialist will provide next steps for an SEO implementation plan that includes:
- Quick fixes our team can implement immediately
- Longer-term tactics for sustained improvement
Resources and access
Initial scans using free accounts from Ahrefs, SEMRush, and AudioEye have already identified opportunities for improvement. We are prepared to provide the SEO specialist with admin access to both WordPress websites, FTP access, CMS details, Google Analytics, and any other required tools. We are willing to maintain regular communication and share all relevant information.
Our mission
November is Stomach Cancer Awareness Month. Our mission is to support research and unite the caring power of people worldwide affected by stomach cancer. The organization focuses on advancing awareness and education about stomach cancer, including Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (associated with the CDH1/CTNNA1 Gene Mutation), and provides a support network for affected families. We also support research efforts aimed at screening, early detection, treatment, and prevention of stomach cancer.
